A Rich History
Jean Madeline Institute is where passion and experience collide. We’ve been learning, growing, and changing with the beauty industry for over 80 years. Since then we’ve carved out a unique place for ourselves in the beauty world and the Philadelphia community.
Our students feel the difference this makes when they come through our doors and meet our talented instructors. Our salon clients feel the difference when they leave feeling beautiful and refreshed. Our staff feels the difference when they see our students go on to start a bright future in beauty.
Opportunity
The type of person that schools like ours often attract don’t fit into a neat little box. We see the creative types, career changers, single parents, and more often than not these are the people for whom “traditional” school wasn’t the right fit.
We want to give a viable, promising opportunity to anyone interested in pursuing a career in the world of beauty, and we do it in a variety of ways.
Financial Aid
We are proud to offer financial aid to those who qualify. Whether you’re in a trade school or a university, most students can’t afford to pay tuition out of pocket. Finances don’t have to be a roadblock in pursuing a career in beauty at Jean Madeline.
Flexible Schedules
Some of our students are parents or caretakers of some kind. Others have hectic work schedules. Whatever your situation is, we want you to have as many options as possible when pursuing your career.

We think it means active involvement. We think it means compassion. We think it means culture.
We’re dedicated to causes like Breast Cancer Awareness, and do our best to chip in every October. We also highlight our best and brightest students on our blog and on social media. Beauty is great because it’s creative, interactive, and fun. We believe that a quality education can be too.
