Creative Opportunities & Experiences
As a student, you’ll have opportunities to grow beyond the classroom through creative projects, hands-on workshops, and industry-inspired experiences.
From styling challenges to guest educators, you’ll be encouraged to explore your creativity and build your portfolio along the way.
Supportive Environment
Starting something new can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re learning hands-on skills and stepping into a completely new environment.
That’s why we focus on creating a place where you feel supported from day one.
At Jean Madeline Institute, our instructors don’t just teach, they coach, guide, and work alongside you as you build your skills and confidence. Whether you’re practicing a new technique or working with your first real guest, you’ll have someone there to help you every step of the way.
You’ll also be surrounded by classmates who are learning right alongside you, people who share your goals, your challenges, and your excitement about what comes next.
You’re not expected to be perfect when you start, you’re here to learn, grow, and get better every day
There’s a story behind the art on our walls 🎨✂️ Meet Alexandre de Paris, one of the most celebrated hairstylists of the 20th century, known for bringing artistry, creativity, and precision to the world of hair.
His influence crossed the worlds of beauty, fashion, and haute couture, helping showcase hairstyling as an art form.
Today, artwork celebrating his legacy hangs throughout Jean Madeline Institute, inspiring our students as they learn, practice, and develop their own artistry.
Because before you create your own signature, you can learn from the artists who came before you.
The next generation of beauty artists starts here ✨

What does peeling an orange have to do with cuticle care? 🍊
Think of it this way: just like we remove the excess peel to reveal the fresh fruit underneath, proper cuticle care focuses on carefully removing excess dead skin around the nail to create a clean, smooth foundation for your manicure.
The key? Precision, not over-cutting.
It’s not about removing everything. It’s about carefully addressing what’s no longer needed for a clean, polished finish. 💅

A guest came to us after having color done elsewhere and was in need of a little hair TLC. We started with a repair treatment designed to help strengthen and restore compromised hair, then finished the service with a smooth, polished blowout.
The result: hair that looked healthier, felt softer, and had a beautiful refreshed finish.
Because sometimes the best next step after color isn’t more color, it’s giving your hair the care it needs 🥰

We ♥️ our mannequin heads ...
We know there has been a lot of talk about the upcoming redevelopment of Neshaminy Mall, and we want to reassure our community that Jean Madeline Institute is staying open!
Classes, student services, and student salon services will continue as usual throughout the redevelopment process.
You may see notices about other tenants leaving the mall by October 31, 2026, but those notices do not apply to Jean Madeline Institute.
Even more exciting, a brand new Jean Madeline Institute location is planned within the redeveloped shopping center.
We’re here, we’re staying open, and we’re excited for what’s ahead at Neshaminy Mall! 💙
