- Stand out! You're entering a creative field – make these documents look the part.
Frequently Asked Interview Questions
- Tell me about yourself.
- Explain your ideal working environment.
- What inspired your career path?
- Be prepared to answer random off the wall questions. Let your personality shine.
Research
- Research the company – look at their website, Yelp reviews, or social media pages to understand the salon's ambience. This shows the potential employer you're dedicated.
- Think of important questions to ask during the interview, such as:
- Is the location departmentalized (ex: colorists and stylists)?
- Is there an assistantship program? If so, what happens after?
- Does the company offer continuing education / training classes?
- What are the next steps in the interview process?
Interview Day
- Bring several copies of your resume. You may interview with more than one person.
- When thinking about what to wear, keep in mind the salon and their clientele. Dress to reflect your personality and the location's atmosphere.
Finally, make eye contact and exude confidence. Good luck in your career search!
