The answer is no; cosmetologists learn a lot more than hair. During our program, students are instructed in a variety of beauty services because the industry demands well-rounded and knowledgeable professionals. Here are a few of the topics you can learn when you enroll in our part time or full time program.

Skin Care

During our cosmetology course, students are taught the basics of skincare. This education can open up a few more career doors for students if they decide to pursue them. These jobs may include:

• Facial Specialist
• Esthetician
• Waxing Specialist

You can explore a variety of techniques and skills that skincare professionals use in the industry!

Nail Technology

That's right! Cosmetology students in our program learn nail technology, too! This includes instruction in nail maintenance, art, and design. If they're interested, licensed cosmetologists may choose to pursue a job as a nail technician or specialist when they enter the workforce.

Makeup Application

Our students have the opportunity to learn makeup application techniques in our program. Makeup artistry can be a viable and rewarding career for someone who wants to pursue it!

Hair Services, Of Course!

Yes, the main focus of cosmetology is hair, but that involves quite a few hair services! Here at Jean Madeline, you can learn hair cutting, coloring, texturing services, and more. Cosmetology offers the unique opportunity to be great at all services or master just one!
